A native of Rochester NY, Eric Hauck is both an active collaborative and performing pianist. He worked as a vocal and instrumental collaborative pianist at Ithaca College in the Finger Lakes region of New York before moving to Columbia, South Carolina, where he studied piano with Dr. Joseph Rackers at the University of South Carolina.

As a teacher, Eric has unique experience teaching children with disabilities. Having grown up in a household exhibiting various physical and developmental disorders, it has been a priority for him to make music accessible to all people. He is currently focused on teaching children with blindness and developing an intuitive method of braille note-reading. All past students with visual impairments have gone on to earn Excellent Ratings and Honorable Mentions in such competitions as the NFMC’s Gold Cup Competition.

Other students of Eric’s have participated in competitions such as the Howard Hanson Award, the Junior All Star Competition, and NYSSMA Competitions.

Eric Hauck received a B.S. in Piano Performance from Nazareth College. As a student, he won the Concerto and Aria Competition, playing the Grieg Piano Concerto in A Minor under the baton of Dr. Nancy Strelau of the Nazareth College Symphony Orchestra. During this time he studied piano with Brian Preston and organ with Dr. Dianne Maynard-Christensen.

Awards include Honorable Mention in the Hochstein Recital Competition and the RPO Young Artist Competition. He also won the Howard Hanson Audition and made his concerto debut with the Greece (NY) Symphony Orchestra, directed by Dr. David Fetler​​.
